Ryan Stitt
Principal / Architect
14 Years Propelling Clients’ Architectural Successes
Ryan Stitt is as accomplished as leader and project manager as he is as an Architect. As a Principal Architect at Salter Pilon, his tireless work ethic gives him a diverse skill set and project experience background. While most of his expertise is in civic including community centres and fire stations; and institutional design including childcare, Public and Catholic elementary schools; his spatial ingenuity has correlated into stewardship in long-term care, affordable housing and healthcare facilities.
Completing a Bachelor of Architectural Science and Masters of Architecture at Carleton University, his Masters thesis concentrated on the craft and detail in architecture in conjunction with the effects of water on and in a building. These are principles that continue to influence his professional work today. Ryan’s modern design approach is grounded with sound technical knowledge that has been enhanced through practical experience in renovations, additions and new builds.
Ryan’s calm approach reflects a natural leadership ability to control tight timelines and budgets while managing the layers of team members and subconsultants required to deliver complex projects successfully. His diverse experience has built a strong knowledge of varied building types, clients, sustainable building practices, functional programs, and design initiatives. Combining these attributes with client engagement and management is the essence of his project management style, which consistently impresses clients by the product and the service received.
Ryan’s role on projects focuses heavily on the project delivery, ensuring an integrated collaborative process that supports key personnel and stakeholders in making informed timely decisions. As a dedicated project architect, his role far exceeds design creativity by managing the coordination of all elements that go into a construction project, right down to future adaptability and sustainable certification.
Ryan demonstrates the ambition to constantly learn and evolve as a long-standing member of Salter Pilon’s team. His valued contributions to all projects in which he is involved reinforce the positive impacts that these projects have on the building users and the communities in which they live and learn.
